Come to camp to take your performance to the next level – the perfect recharge for your fall racing goals. Training with other triathletes is the extra boost of motivation needed to push improvements. More importantly, you can learn from others and come away with wisdom to guide you the rest of the year. You’ll have a blast swimming, cycling, running, eating, and recovering together with those who share your athletic lifestyle and goals.

The camp is planned to include all of the following:

Experienced coaches & professional triathletes leading workouts

USAT-certified coaches will guide the training sessions & pro triathletes will support to help everyone get the best stimulus on their training. Our coaches & pro athletes will lead workouts, as well as share experiences, advice, and best-practices. From cycling efficiency, run form, and swim technique – to proper nutrition and recovery – the goal is to give attendees guidance as well as suggestions for further improvement. Even though we’ll have pros there, workouts will be adapted to every skill level.

Fully supported training

Planned routes, SAG support (where a vehicle follows the ride), equipment assistance – everything you need to maximize fitness improvement and minimize the headaches of working out. Our goal is to help you enjoy and focus on training and not worry about anything else. Fair warning – there will be some solid climbing on the bike, and the amazing leg power that results from that.

Group lodging – Plenty of time to socialize & get to know your friends

Being together is the magic of a training camp. Group lodging makes that possible. In addition to making the camp affordable, it ensures plenty of time to make friends. All attendees will have their own bunk bed in communal lodging (see picture below). Rooms will be assigned by gender. In your free time, you can relax in a beautiful and massive lodge with acres of land surrounding it.

Food to keep you fueled and satisfied

Staying fueled with the proper nutrition is essential to getting the most from your body. We’ve got you covered. We provide home-cooked breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and dinners that could make a cycling team envious. We’ll talk through nutritional logistics and may even recruit your help in meal preparation. Based on nutritionist recommendations and USAT insurance guidelines, this camp is alcohol-free.

Daily education

In addition to a fitness boost, we also want you to leave with knowledge that lasts far beyond the camp. With expert-led lessons and discussions each evening, everyone should plan to leave with several major takeaways that will help them improve in the months following camp. Swim technique, recovery practices, gear discussions, and mindfulness are a few of the potential subjects we’ll cover.

Free camp photography

If you don’t have good pictures on your social media, are you even a triathlete? We’ll debate that question, but either way, we’ll be photographing you along the way so you can post all you want. And no need to purchase after the event – it’s included. Get those Instagram likes and Strava Kudos!

Equipment review consultation

Triathlon equipment plays a large role in your performance. During camp, we’ll talk through your swim, bike, run, and recovery gear. We’ll discuss what could use an upgrade – and prioritize future purchases.

Important camp notes

This will be a USAT Sanctioned Event

This camp will be a USAT sanctioned event. You will need a USAT annual membership or a one-event pass, both which can be purchased through USAT.

Camp pre-requisites

To best enjoy camp, you should be able to do the following:

  • Swim 1000 yards continuously
  • Bike 30+ miles continuously
  • Run 6+ miles continuously

If any of the above seems out of reach, please contact us to discuss options. We may be able to modify the camp for you or provide another camp experience at a different date.

Camp Logistics

Camp programming will begin Thursday morning (Sep. 11) and conclude Sunday mid-day (Sep. 14). If you are unable to attend part of the camp, that is not a problem, although the full camp fee applies. If you are able to attend only one day and do not plan on staying overnight, then a reduced daily rate is available.

September weather can vary. Please bring appropriate clothing for cold, mild, and warm weather – especially for cycling. The SAG support vehicle will assist in carrying clothing, allowing you to add or remove clothing along rides. With many fall races in October and November, early September is the ideal time for a camp to boost training before anyone is tapering for races.

Additional camp add-on services for an additional fee

Based on demand, we may be able to offer some additional services from the list below. When you register, please indicate which services you are interested in. Based on availability, demand, and camp schedules, we may not be able to offer all services.

Sweat sodium content testing

Proper hydration is essential to long-distance race performance. Knowing how much sodium you lose through sweat can help you replenish it appropriately to stay hydrated. We’ll collect your sweat during one of the training sessions and test its sodium content. We’ll then talk through strategies for sodium in your liquids during training and racing. This is a simple, non-invasive test that consists of wearing a taped patch on your arm to collect sweat.

Thirty-minute 1-on-1 triathlon coach consultation

Book extra time to talk individually with one of our coaches/pro triathletes. He or she can help you plan out your season, talk through an upcoming key race, or address any topic of your choosing. For best results, we’ll ask you beforehand what you’d like to discuss so the coach can properly prepare.

Sixty-minute sports recovery massage

Enjoy a relaxing on-site massage to help speed recovery. A massage therapist will come to the camp cabins for convenience. He or she will focus on specific areas, as well as full-body relaxation and recovery.
